Our client service teams represent the industry’s best practices, led by a highly seasoned and deeply credentialed senior management team that clears the path to success.
Our founder, Sheila Petrequin, has been at the forefront of Revenue Cycle Management for over 35 years. She is one of only a handful of CHBME (Certified Healthcare Billing Manager Executive) associates in Ohio. This certification is a distinction through HBMA, an organization of over 1,500 members designed specifically for RCM companies.
Sheila’s professional experience reflects her personality—progressive growth with a twist of fun! Before founding Maxx Medical, in her 40-year career she has been:
- Chief Operating Officer of a 400-physician and 150-employee medical practice
- A consultant, traveling from coast to coast installing, implementing, guiding, and training physician practice employees on the nuances of new Physician’s Account Receivable software
- Manager of a local RCM for 13 years
She attended high school and college in southern Ohio, and her career began as a supervisor at the Springboro Clinic in Springboro, Ohio.
Sheila has built a client service team around her that delivers excellence and personalized support, crafted to your practice’s needs and challenges.
In 2020 Sheila partnered with Adam Middleton of Healthcare Advisory Network to broaden Maxx Medical’s reach into consulting and secure the long-term vision of independent practice management services.

Adam Middleton, CHBC

Adam Middleton has committed his entire professional career to healthcare, working for profit and not for profit hospitals and as a consultant to physicians and healthcare related businesses.
Since 2008, Adam has consulted with emerging businesses in leadership positions, physician practices, post-acute providers and hospitals with focus on management, operations, finance and strategic planning. He has extensive experience in physician compensation including contracting and structures. Through his leadership Maxx Medical Advisory Network practices maximize their revenue cycle process. Adam teamed with Sheila in 2011 to provide subject matter expertise for their mutual client and become Managing Partner for Maxx Medical in 2020.
Prior to consulting, Adam was an executive at two major healthcare organizations in the greater Dayton area: Dayton Heart Hospital and Premier Health. He has been involved in the community as a volunteer firefighter, EMT and serves as the Chair of South Community Ind, a large not for profit company focused on behavioral health. Adam resides in Centerville with his Wife, Carol and has two sons and a granddaughter.
